ESARS for Appointments with the OLC

SWC faculty and staff now have the option to book online appointments with the OLC through ESARS. ESARS is an online platform that SWC students use to book Tutoring appointments and more! The OLC is excited to present this assistance option to faculty and staff.

Tip! You'll want to bookmark the ESARS interface Links to an external site. link on your computer for quick reference in the future. The link is also located in the Canvas Help menu so you can easily make an appointment while using Canvas.

Booking Appointments with the OLC

OLC staff and faculty team members are available to meet to assist with a wide range of topics, including:

• accessibility
• Canvas
• course re-design and makeover
• specialty tools and tech used in Canvas
• video creation and captioning

ESARS can help directly connect you with a specialist in your area of interest.

ESARS How To

We've create a brief walk-through video (2:01) on how to book an appointment with the OLC in ESARS.

In general, users will:

1. Log in to the ESARS interface Links to an external site.
   • enter your SWC ID # and your birthday, as indicated
2. Select Make Appointment, noting the following:
   • up to 3 active or future appointments are permitted in the system at a time
   • appointments may be booked up to 2 weeks in advance
   • select "All" days of the week for best availability
3. Click to indicate the specific type of assistance requested
4. Check the appropriate appointment date and time
   • you'll be asked to input your cell phone (optional) for a text reminder; all users will be emailed an appointment reminder at their SWC email address
5. Users will receive an appointment receipt, confirming their appointment date, time, type, and OLC team member
   • email confirmations will include the required Zoom Workplace link
   • text reminders will be sent the afternoon before the scheduled appointment for users who opt in to this feature
